Consulting and marketing services for Ontario businesses

Start with the service that fixes your biggest constraint. For most Ontario owners that is a clear plan; for some it is the website or local visibility. This page helps you choose.

Pick the service that removes your current bottleneck, not the one that sounds most exciting. An Ontario business that is invisible locally won't be saved by a new website, and one with plenty of enquiries but poor follow-up doesn't need more ads. Below, each service is described in a few lines with a note on when it is the right first step. Every service is business and marketing consulting; we don't provide legal, tax or accounting advice.

Growth diagnosis and 12-month plan

This is the right start when you are busy but not sure which work is actually paying. We review your revenue by line, your margins, your customer mix and your local market, then write a plan with three to five measurable targets for the next twelve months.

The output is short on purpose: one page of priorities, one page of numbers and a quarter-by-quarter action list. Owners tell us the hardest part is deciding what to stop doing, and the plan makes that decision explicit. Details are on the growth diagnosis page.

Choose it first if:

  • revenue has been flat for two or more years despite effort
  • you can't say which services or customers produce most of the profit
  • you've tried several agencies or tactics and nothing has stuck

Local search and marketing for Ontario towns

This is the right start when good buyers nearby can't find you. Ontario search results are local: someone in Kanata sees different businesses from someone in Orléans, even though both are in Ottawa. We tune your Google Business Profile, build honest pages for the towns you serve, and set up a steady review habit.

It suits service businesses, clinics, retailers and trades that sell within a drive of their base. If your buyers are national B2B accounts, this matters less. Read more on local search and marketing.

Website and conversion consulting

This is the right start when traffic is fine but calls and orders are not. A useful test: if your site gets 1,500 visits a month and turns 1% of them into enquiries, that's 15 leads. Lift the rate to 2.5% and the same traffic produces about 37 leads, without one more dollar of advertising.

We audit what visitors see on a phone, rewrite the pages that matter most, make the next step obvious and measure the change. This work draws on the conversion method Ali developed at Conv.ca. See website and conversion consulting.

Second-market expansion in Ontario

This is the right step once your home market is working and you want a second city or region. Expanding from Kitchener to Guelph, from Oakville into Burlington, or from Barrie toward Collingwood looks simple on a map. The costs show up in travel time, staffing and splitting your marketing budget.

We help you score candidate markets, run a small paid test with a defined budget and a stop rule, and decide on evidence. Details are on second-market expansion, and our guide on choosing your next Ontario market shows the scoring method.

Monthly growth advisory

This is the right choice when you have a plan and need someone to keep it on track. On a retainer, Ali meets with you on a set schedule, reviews the numbers, adjusts priorities and, where agreed, directs the marketing work.

It is not a full-time hire and doesn't replace your managers. It gives you a senior outside view every month at a fraction of the cost of an executive salary. See monthly growth advisory.

How the services fit together

Most engagements follow the same order: diagnose, fix the biggest leak, then grow. A typical first year might look like this:

  1. Months 1–2: growth diagnosis and plan.
  2. Months 2–5: local visibility or website conversion, whichever the diagnosis says is weaker.
  3. Months 6–12: monthly advisory, with a second-market test if the numbers support it.

Prices for each format are on the pricing page. Our regional pages explain how the plan changes from the GTA to Ottawa or Niagara, and the guides let you do much of the thinking yourself before you call.

Frequently asked questions

Which service should we start with?

If you can't say in one sentence where next year's growth will come from, start with the growth diagnosis. If you can, start with whichever stage of the customer journey is leaking most: being found, being chosen, or being followed up.

Can we buy just one service?

Yes. Each service can be bought on its own, by the hour or as a defined project. Many clients start with one piece and add others only when the first is paying back.

Do you do the work or just advise?

Both. Some clients want a plan they will carry out with their own staff; others want us to set up and run the marketing. We agree which at the start, in writing.

Do you work with businesses outside the GTA?

Yes. We plan for every part of Ontario, including Ottawa, Waterloo Region, Niagara, Simcoe County and the North. The method is the same; the targets and towns change.
